SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa, as the international gateway into Botswana, provides many opportunities for a pre- or post- Botswana holiday. Many visitors travel to Botswana via Johannesburg. Air Botswana has direct services from Johannesburg to Maun, Kasane and Francistown.There are many airlines currently flying into Johannesburg including British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, South African Airways and Malaysian Airlines.

Through our ground handler in South Africa, we can arrange a stay of one night or more at any of the main centres in South Africa, book tours and excursions for you and even provide add on safaris to private game reserves and game reserves anywhere in South Africa.
NAMIBIA
We can book customised itineraries for you through our Namibian groundhandlers. Access to Windhoek, the Namibian capital, is either direct from Europe or direct from Maun, Cape Town or Johannesburg.Of special interest for visitors who wish to travel into Botswana through the north via Mohembo and into the Okavango Panhandle, is the area known as the Caprivi.
On the banks of the river which eventually flows into the Okavango Delta are several lodges – all offering reasonable stays and some with campsites. They are close to the Muhongo Game Park, which offers visitors pleasant drives and good game viewing (kudu and elephant being some). Wonderful bird viewing (such as Wattled and Long Toed Plovers and Giant Kingfishers) is also on offer.
MOZAMBIQUE
Another combo we would like to suggest is the Botswana and Beach Combo. Combine your holiday in Botswana with a few days on the pure white sands and idyllic settings of the Mozambican coast. The Mozambican resort of Vilanculos, edged on the waters of the Bazaruto archipelago, offers medium priced accommodation and on the islands themselves, luxury all-inclusive accommodation - the perfect setting to unwind and relax after your hectic game viewing holiday in Botswana. They are regular air connections from Vilanculos to Johannesburg.
ZAMBIA OR ZIMBABWE
For visitors with time to spare, we recommend ending your Botswana safari/holiday in the Chobe area and spending a day or two in Livingstone, Zambia or Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Transfers from Kasane to Livingstone or Victoria Falls take approximately 1.5 hours, depending on the traffic on the Kazangula ferry.We can of course fly you direct from your lodge in Botswana to either destination (with a customs clearance stop in Kasane). Flights from Livingstone or Victoria Falls to Johannesburg are daily (British Airways and South African Airways).
There are several magnificent places to stay in Livingstone or Victoria Falls and the areas nearby. Livingstone also offers a spectacular view of the Eastern Cataract of the Victoria Falls and there are several exciting activities available in Livingstone or Victoria Falls - from elephant ride safaris, to hot air ballooning to river cruises on the mighty Zambezi River.
Should your interest stretch beyond the sights and sounds of the mighty Victoria Falls, we can also offer you a range of lodge stays in other areas of Zambia and Zimbabwe – from the lesser known Kafue National Park and the majestic Luangwa Parks in Zambia to the wildlife areas of Hwange in Zimbabwe.
